Patience 101

I learned something new today. Growing plants from seed and tackling my hedge is nature's way of helping me in patience in humility. I might not have all the garden tools and the compost bin or mulch and pots and soil I want - but in the process of making do and improvising, I get to meet more of you, and learn. I tell myself that eventually, I will find the hostas. Eventually, I will kill the weeds and the poison ivy. Eventually, I will till the soil. The tulips will bloom. And I will figure out what to do with that other bed, and someday I will have a fence, and....

Someday.

And someday I will figure out housekeeping, homemaking, ironing and stuff.

Update: I found a hosta forum and finally saw pictures of emerging hostas!

Everything and anything is possible in the springtime. I envision the garden of my dreams each year and get a little closer with each weed I pull, hole I dig, and plant I grow...and muscle that aches.
