WAHM Managed to Work in the Garden

Hello friends, real happy to report to you that I managed to clean up a bit outside today. It was one happy hour outside, under the sun.

As you can see I will have to thin or divide my ornamental grass this season and that goes the same for my chrysanthemum clara curtis a.k.a. country girl. I took the pictures below as i was cleaning up the bed so you'll still see undone stuff.

Now what do I do with the azalea? Must i leave the dead leaves alone?

Must I trim the annabelle hydrangeas? I know I need to rake all around it before the hostas come out. Yeah goodluck with that.

And here's what I really want to share with you, a sign that spring is really here. The first bloomer of the season in my backyard has... awakened from its slumber.

Growing Seeds of a Different Kind (& Hopeful Friday entry)

Before I get to the seeds, here's some news.

Happy 10th year Anniversary to the U.S.A. for having me here, woohoo!!!! I hope your 10 years with me are all happy :)
I forgot the second news I was going to share. It fell off my brain.

And so I have re-emerged in blogworld. Happy Spring to all and a Happy Advance Easter. I will be paying you a visit soon.

This spring I will not be growing seeds, but I have been planting seeds of a different kind. Since I started my music center I have been so busy, but a happy kind of busy. It's the best job ever, next to motherhood (s0metimes, LOL). For the entire month of March, I've been holding FREE Music Together® Demo Classes. Parents and their little ones come to my events for free, for singing, dancing, play-alongs, and cozy lullabys. Here's what a class is like.

And so when I sing to the families, I am planting seeds, the seed of making music together, and hopefully that will bear fruit. I expect a low registration this spring, and hopefully the enrollments will start to pick up in the summer.

DH got laid off two weeks ago, and he wants time (3 months) to make the real estate work. I hope to God, we have that time, and get to keep our home. And my garden. So as you can see I am even more busy because of this, helping him out with the real estate. I'm all over the place: Facebook, Twitter, and other websites where I post my musical events.

I will miss gardening and growing annuals this year. It is nice though that I can visit your gardens virtually :) I look forward to the first blooms, including my variagated weigela.

Winter

Good morning dear friends! Are you tired of winter yet? Don't be, because we can't do anything about it...... i hope your days are warm and happy indoors, even outdoors if you need to go out. Enjoy this pictures of parikeets at the National Aviary. They are Edward parikeets (the ones in a group of 3) and they always stick together. The others have another name which i forgot, but notice how different their feather colors are.

Thought you'd like to see me shoveling on my birthday week LOL.

Another New Beginning

Yesterday, Mama and I went to Holy Mass at Old St. Patrick's Parish at the Strip District. Over there, they have a replica of the steps Jesus was dragged on as He was led before Pilate. It's called The Holy Stairs. One can go up these steps only by kneeling, and on each of the 28 steps, meditate on Jesus' sufferings.

Yes I did it, yes it hurt, yes I prayed for many things. But what really caught my attention was the difference of the Holy Mass that was held there that day. And so I feel it would be good for me to go here weekly, it would be my weekly 'retreat.'
